Mary Stork Born 1938 Portsmouth
Studied at the West of England College of Art, Bristol under Frank Auerbach and later at the Slade under Keith Vaughan. As a student her work featured in the Arts Council, Young Contemporaries Touring Exhibition 1959 and with the London Group. She has lived in Cornwall since 1960, chiefly in the St. Just area.

She is an ex-member of the Newlyn Society and has had one man shows at the Newlyn Gallery and the Royal West of England Academy and has featured in the mixed exhibitions at the Sail Loft Gallery St. Ives, the Sheviok Gallery and the Penwith. During the ten years, from 1970 -1980, she stopped painting to bring up her family.

Mary Stork's style is rooted in the very best traditions of classical draughtsmanship.
